The U.S. State Department routinely warns Americans travelers of potential dangers lurking in countries abroad. But with mounting chaos here in the States, it's becoming increasingly common for foreign governments to warn their citizens about the perils of traveling here.

For example, the Bahamian government recently warned of increased racial tension in and police violence in the country.

"We wish to advise all Bahamians traveling to the U.S. but especially to the affected cities to exercise appropriate caution generally. In particular young males are asked to exercise extreme caution in affected cities in their interactions with the police. Do not be confrontational and cooperate," the statement said.

"If there is any issue please allow consular offices for The Bahamas to deal with the issues. Do not get involved in political or other demonstrations under any circumstances and avoid crowds."

And government officials from the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain  and Canada have all warned travelers to the U.S. to avoid large crowds.

"Please stay away from any ongoing or planned demonstrations and protests in cities around the United States," said a statement from the UAE "Please be aware of immediate surroundings and avoid crowded places when possible."

Canada's government went further, warning that violent crime is "generally more prevalent" in the U.S. than in Canada.

"Robbery and assault can also occur in wealthy residential or commercial districts. Exercise caution, particularly at night," it notes online. "Violent crimes, particularly assault, are often connected to alcohol and drug consumption."

But it isn't just foreign governments warning of dangers.

The U.S. Army issued a statement warning all military personnel to avoid 37 cities throughout the country mentioned as possible gathering points for "Day of Rage" protestors on Friday,

"Please be advised the [US Northern Command] has issued a threat advisory informing DOD personnel that a series of protests has been scheduled to be conducted across the United States on July 15, 2016," the statement said.

"For your personal safety, we highly encourage you to avoid this specific location entirely," the Army added.
