Clinton has a plan for national gun confiscation
// Personal Liberty Digest™
The National Rifle Association is warning that Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will waste no time initiating a gun grab like nothing Americans have ever seen if she makes it to the Oval Office.
Clinton recently remark that Australian-style gun control is "worth considering" in the U.S., illustrating that the second Clinton in the presidency would be far to the left of the first when it comes to gun control. And that's bad news for 2nd Amendment advocates, considering the years it took to undo bill Clinton's "assault weapons ban."
"Australia is a good example, Canada is a good example, the U.K. is a good example. Why? Each of them had mass killings. Australia had a huge mass killing about 20-25 years ago, Canada did as well, so did the U.K. In reaction, they passed much stricter gun laws," said Clinton.
The former first lady hinted that a federal gun confiscation could take place under the guise of a buyback campaign similar to the Cash for Clunkers program that accompanied the U.S. auto industry bailout.
"I think it would be worth considering doing it on the national level, if that could be arranged. After the terrible 2008 financial crisis, one of the programs that President Obama was able to get in place was Cash for Clunkers. You remember that?" she asked. "It was partially a way to get people to buy new cars because we wanted more economic activity, and to get old models that were polluting too much, off the roads. So I think that's worth considering."
Chris Cox, executive director of the NRA's Institute for Legislative Action, said that this kind of talk makes it clear that there is no middle ground on gun for the Democratic establishment.
"This validates what the NRA has said all along. The real goal of gun control supporters is gun confiscation. Hillary Clinton, echoing President Obama's recent remarks on the same issue, made that very clear," Cox said.
