More voices tell Hillary it's over
// Personal Liberty Digest™
As Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign continues to disappoint Democrats, you can add a famous Watergate reporter and a former top U.S. security official to the list of people saying her presidential ambitions are doomed.
Carl Bernstein gained international notoriety for the reporting he and Bob Woodward did on the scandal that disgraced President Richard Nixon. These days, he's watching another corrupt politician suffocate under the weight of a mountain of scandals.
The veteran journalist says Clinton ought to come clean with the American people while she still has a choice in the matter.
"She has to acknowledge she's made some terrible misjudgments and errors, particularly on the server," he said on CNN.
"The vast right-wing conspiracy didn't put the server in her damn closet," Bernstein continued. "She's going to have to get by this thing, and she's going to have to acknowledge a terrible misjudgment it seems to be here."
Lt. Gen. Michael T. Flynn (Ret.), who headed the Defense Intelligence Agency under the Obama administration between 2012 and 2014, similarly noted that Clinton seems to be the only person who doesn't grasp the seriousness of her malfeasance.
"I think Hillary Clinton, for the good of the country, should step down and let this FBI investigation play out," he told the Daily Caller.
Flynn said that he and other people familiar with the nation's strict security protocols are shocked that anyone in the Clinton camp would believe it acceptable to remove information from the government's Special Access Program (SAP) and place it on the former top diplomat's private server.
"Someone who does this is completely irresponsible, but totally unaccountable and shows a streak of arrogance to the American public that is unworthy of anyone thinking they can run for President of the United States," he said.
Flynn added: "I don't think anybody should be talking about her being potentially the next President of the United States."
Clinton's problems are sure to worsen with the State Department's slated release of more than 500 additional emails from her tenure over the weekend. Officials also say they will release "all remaining documents" by the end of the month.
