Kentucky Theater Owner Won't Show 'The Butler' With Jane Fonda

ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky., (UPI) – A Kentucky movie theater owner who trained pilots during the Vietnam War says he will not show "The Butler" because Jane Fonda plays Nancy Reagan.
Ike Boutwell owns the two movie theaters in Hardin County. He said Thursday he considers Fonda a traitor for her anti-war activities and especially her 1972 visit to Hanoi, WDRB-TV, Louisville, reports.
"Jane Fonda in my opinion is a treasonist person," Boutwell said. "Jane Fonda had a wonderful opportunity to show the world how horrible our prisoners were being treated, yet she decided to call them baby killers and support our enemy."
"The Butler" stars Forest Whitaker as a longtime White House butler with Oprah Winfrey as his wife and a bevy of well-known actors as various presidents and their wives. Fonda is paired with Alan Rickman, best-known as Professor Snape in the Harry Potter movies, who plays Ronald Reagan.
Boutwell said the response was generally positive in 2005 when he refused to show Fonda's "Monster-in-Law." He is even angrier about "The Butler" because of Fonda's part.
"That is a slap in the face," Boutwell said. "For a treasonous person to play a patriotic person, it is just terrible."
Boutwell served in the Korean War and trained pilots in Vietnam.

This is an idea that we should address.
For too long we have been too complacent about the workings of Congress. The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform that passed ... in all of its forms. Somehow, that doesn't seem logical. We do not have an elite that is above the law. I truly don't care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever. The self-serving must stop.
If each person that receives this will forward it on to 15 people, in three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message. This is one proposal that really should be passed around.
Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution: "Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States ..."

With the Mid-West's AMAZING floods this week- look what one person w/ a camera phone observed!
Look at each picture slowly and completely - in order to the end. If not for the photos no one would believe this!!!
The towboat is approaching the bridge with barges loaded with coal.
This frame gives you an idea of how fast the river is running, obviously at or near flood stage.
Oh CRAP!! The bridge didn't open and the boat can't stop. Notice the tug has released the barges.
He is backing as hard as possible to try and avoid a collision with the bridge.
Can't back down enough against the current. LOOK at the NUTTY people standing on the BRIDGE!
Uh Oh! ! The current has swung the boat around sideways.
The cook thinks maybe something isn't quite right.
The boss is going to be REAL mad!
Uh... Boss? Do we have flood insurance on this boat? The tug is going under the bridge!!
Uh.... Boss? You ain't gonna believe what we just did! Tug came out other side!!
She's low, but the flag is still flying.
The wheelhouse door and the door in the second deck are now open.
Look close at the bottom right hand side of the picture and you will see that the bridge guardrail is underwater.
Look at the water pouring out of the second deck doorway.
The working deck is still underwater, but rising.
This company that built the Tug should get the government contract to build our battle ships.
Notice anything unusual? Look at the smoke coming from the exhausts. It's still running!!!
Notice the prop wash at the rear of the tug. The boat is upright and back under power and gathering it's barges.
Just another day on the river. Do you suppose the captain had to change his pants?

By now we all should know the epic water bubble beauty that happens when you shoot a gun underwater. From your typical Glock to AK-47s, the bullet-chasing, self-collapsing water bubble looks more like the gun is shooting mini-nuclear explosions than your typical bullets.
