Fwd: FW: The New Poison Permeating Your Home and Garden

Stay In Touch With Off The Grid News

Over ten years ago, the EPA finally began phasing out some of the dangerous chemicals used in common home and garden pesticides--chemicals that were linked to cancer, nervous system abnormalities, autoimmune disorders, and more.

The only problem is they replaced it with something just as dangerous.

It's called piperonyl butoxide, or PBO, and it isn't technically a pesticide. Instead, it's a "booster" chemical designed to make the insecticide it's mixed with more potent.

According to a 2012 study conducted at the Duke University School of Medicine, this new pesticide-boosting chemical is extremely dangerous. It interferes with human neurological development, especially during pregnancy. The researchers suggest that PBO is "the molecular basis for profound developmental defects in children exposed in utero to PBO."

The Duke University study wasn't the first, however. In 2011, Columbia University researchers revealed that even low-level exposure (in the surrounding air) during pregnancy was dangerous. (PBO is one of the top ten chemicals detectable in household dust.) Infants thus exposed while still in the womb showed impaired cognitive and motor development as toddlers. All it takes is a little bit.

As PBO undergoes further study, it's likely that more and more harmful effects will come to light. Meanwhile, if you use common off-the-shelf pesticides, chances are good that you and your family are being exposed to PBO. And if it gets on your clothing ... you could be spreading this poison anywhere. PBO is found in at least nine common, nationally available products (under six different brand names) like these:

  • A popular brand-name flying insect killer
  • A popular brand-name indoor fogger treatment
  • A popular brand-name flea killer
  • A (different) popular brand-name flea and tick spray
  • A popular tomato and vegetable insect killer
  • A brand-name mosquito spray
  • A brand-name all-purpose insect killer
  • A brand-name ant and termite killer

Mother Nature's Answer to Dangerous Pesticides ...
And It's Far More Effective!

Whether you have cutworms and aphids in your garden, ants in your cupboards, crickets in the basement, fleas and ticks on your pets, or bed bugs in your mattress, this "miracle dust" kills them all.

There's a very special type of dirt -- called diatomaceous earth -- that has a 98% efficacy rate against pests. 98%. (Compare that to the 65% efficacy rate of most chemical pesticides.) Best of all, it has a very different mechanism of action, completely unlike the toxic approach of chemical pesticides.

Here's how it kills bugs: it starts on the insect's exoskeleton, absorbing the waxy outer layer. Once it has penetrated the outer layer, it absorbs the insect's body fluids. Without those fluids, the insect's organs cease to function. Within seconds to hours (or, in rare cases, a couple of days) the bug literally dries out and dies. (Except earthworms. It won't hurt earthworms -- they actually ingest it and break it down!)

Diatomaceous earth is simply the mineralized, fossilized remains of ancient algae. But not all diatomaceous earth is the same. "God's Miracle Dust," as we like to call it, is a very specialized type, found only on remote mountaintops in what is now a small section of Utah.

It works mechanically. What I mean by that is this: most common home-and-garden pesticides attack the insect's nervous system, paralyzing them and eventually killing them. "God's Miracle Dust" works by drying out insects. Each particle of this rare type of diatomaceous earth (found only in the Utah mountains) can absorb 1 ½ times its own weight in fluid ... so imagine what even a small pinch of it can do.

Given the choice between dangerous, manmade neurotoxic chemicals ... and dirt from mineralized fossils ... which would you choose?

When it comes to a healthy home, the uses for "God's Miracle Dust" are almost endless. That's why we include a free e-book with every order, The Diatomaceous Earth Revolution. Plus, for the next four days only, we're also including this soft cover book, Going Green With Diatomaceous Earth: How-To Tips. To claim your free copy of Going Green, be sure to use coupon code GREEN when you order.

I think you'll agree that "God's Miracle Dust" is one of the best home and garden helps you could possibly have. Order your supply today!
