Hillary Clinton may have thought the dust had settled and she was on the home straight to defeating Trump, but the ugly matter of her emails has reared its head again. Today the FBI announces that it is reopening its probe of the presidential candidate, citing the discovery of further emails "that appear pertinent to the investigation". The emails in question were discovered during an unrelated investigation. No details of what this investigation relates to have been revealed, but the announcement by the FBI comes as a blow to Clinton so late in the election campaign. Political science professor Helmut Norpoth says Americans probably shouldn't pay so much attention to mainstream media polls declaring Hillary Clinton the frontrunner in the presidential contest.
Norpoth, who has correctly predicted the outcome of the popular vote in every election since 1996, says GOP nominee Donald Trump has an incredible 87 percent chance of beating Clinton in November.
The professor says his election prediction model draws heavily on how each of the candidates performed in their primary elections.
"It usually turns out that the candidate who does better in his party's primary beats the other guy who does less well," Northrop told Fox, noting that the primary model has held steady for more than a century.
The professor says he's so confident in his model that he's bet money on it.
Norpoth said that while pollsters are more inclined to predict a Clinton victory, academics studying political science see a Trump victory as a likely outcome.
"There are … quite a few colleagues of mine who have a prediction that Trump is going to make it," he said.
Norpoth's prediction comes as Americans are learning that mainstream media polls in the 2016 election have been heavily influenced by the Clinton campaign.
In leaked emails from Clinton campaign, the candidate's team discussed in detail how they could "manufacture" poll results in the Democrat's favor to "maximize what we get out of our media polling."
Some of the tactics discussed included working with media to oversample certain demographics more likely to vote Democrat, use Spanish language polls and target "independents" in areas more friendly to Democrats.

Earlier this month, a small gun shop made national headlines urging shooting sport enthusiasts to stock up during its "pre-Hillary" gun and ammo sale. A growing number of independent and national firearm retailers are following suit in anticipation of an election that could destroy the 2nd Amendment.
On Sunday, national sporting goods chain Gander Mountain announced a huge "Election Sale" on its large selection of firearms and shooting accessories.
The sale comes as gun retailers throughout the nation report a massive uptick in gun-buying spurred by Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton's promises to decree harsh new firearm regulations if elected.
Some gun and ammo buyers are stocking up in anticipation of shortages and price hikes in the event that Clinton is elected, others are trying to get their hands on weapons that would be made illegal if she were to successfully reinstate her husband's assault weapons ban.
Prices for guns and ammo spiked after each Obama election.
The average price of an AR-15, for instance, rose to more than $1200 following Obama's second election. Popular AR-platform rifles are currently selling for an average of around $700.
Ammunition shortages also became a big problem for American sportsmen at the height of the Obama administration's anti-firearm rhetoric, with popular calibers from .22 to .223 becoming virtually impossible to find in many areas of the country.
Justin Anderson, who heads up marketing for one of the nation's largest gun stores, Hyatt Guns in Charlotte, N.C., told Washington Examiner that gun sales are currently in "uncharted territory" thanks to uncertainty over the election.
"We're hearing from a lot of our customers that are concerned, and rightfully so, that their 2nd Amendment rights are going to be infringed by a possible Hillary Clinton presidency. Last month our sales effectively doubled from September of 2015 and we're trending toward another similar result for this month," Anderson said.
"We are preparing throughout the store for unprecedented business beginning Nov. 9. We expect continued growth in small framed handguns used for concealed carry," he added.
Despite Clinton's repeated claims that she and her Democratic colleagues are only interested in "common sense" gun laws to keep firearms out of the hands of felons and children, leaked emails from her campaign reveal that she supports a level of gun control via executive fiat which was too brazen even for the Obama administration.
If you're looking to stock up on firearms, accessories and ammo ahead of a possible election-induced rush, here are a few things you may want to pick up now:
Ammunition
Buy ammunition for the firearms that you have or plan to obtain. Ammo in the cheapest and most popular calibers will disappear from shelves and gun shows first in the event of a panic. Remember how tough it was to find .22lr a few years ago? So stock up on .22lr, 9mm, .223, .45 ACP, .40 S&W, 5.56×45, .308, 7.62×39, and so on.

The left constantly talks about its desire to do away with so-called high-capacity magazines, which they usually classify as anything that can hold more than 10 rounds. That means it's time to stock up on 30-round magazines for rifles and handguns. Once they're banned, relatively cheap 30-round magazines will skyrocket in price on the private market.
Firearm parts
Because of the average gun grabber's stupid insistence that the look of a firearm has anything to do with its relative deadliness, things like threaded barrels, collapsible stocks, rifle pistol grips could become illegal for sale under a Clinton administration. In addition to those accessories, it's also probably a good time to pick up things like 80 percent lower receivers if you need them. During the last Clinton gun ban prices for these parts skyrocketed as the manufacture of new ones was prohibited.

If Hillary Clinton is elected president, you can bet one of her first orders of business will be making sure that "basket of deplorables" that caused her campaign so much trouble are discredited and demonized.
For a newly elected President Clinton, a large population of Americans supporting small government, self-reliance, free markets and anti-interventionist attitudes will simply cause too many headaches. After all, everyone remembers how much trouble that "vast right wing conspiracy" caused her husband.
But based on the trajectory of the 2016 election season, Clinton and her handlers know that if she is elected— whether rightfully or by deceit— there is a massive group of Americans who will never accept her as commander-in-chief.
Of course, Clinton knows a thing or two about shutting down political opposition from a position of power. And after three decades as a Washington insider she has the resources to make it happen.
Consider for a moment how the initial Clinton administration dealt with any group that dared reject federal power. It wasn't pretty. Think back to the pre-9/11 world of the 1990s. Can you remember what the Clinton Justice Department promoted as the biggest terror threat facing the U.S.?
That's right, so-called right-wing extremism. Officials like Attorney General Janet Reno painted pictures of dangerous deplorables lurking in secluded bunkers throughout the U.S., heavily armed and ready to overthrow the government.
And the Clinton administration made examples of some of them. Massacres at Waco and Ruby Ridge come to mind.
While Randy Weaver and the Branch Davidians at Waco were undoubtedly living on the fringe—enough so that many Americans accepted their fates as something that only happens in the rarest of cases.
But a new Clinton administration is poised to push government crackdowns on detractors much further.
Clinton has already declared that a massive portion of her opponents supporters are extremists who want to tear down government protections for minorities and favor theocratic mandates over women's rights.
This, of course, probably doesn't fit the profile of any Trump supporter you've met— the average working Americans who simply see that big government has failed them. But it doesn't matter, because pundits and Democratic talking heads have already heard the dog whistle.
That's where we end up with headlines like this in The Washington Times: "Democrats warn of a racist uprising if Donald Trump loses election."

In Democratic circles, the talk about the presidential election has increasingly turned to fears of a violent uprising by white supremacists and neo-Nazis if Donald Trump loses.
The nervous talk holds that Mr. Trump's alleged racist followers are being primed to take to the streets to challenge election results should Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton prevail Nov. 8. They say Mr. Trump's followers reveal their revolutionary fervor at rallies by chanting "lock her up" about the former secretary of state.
"Should we take the concern seriously? I think so," said Ben Manski, a liberal activist leading the group No More Stolen Elections, which was formed in reaction to Republican George W. Bush's win in the contested 2000 election.
"I don't take neo-Nazis lightly. I have encountered them, and I am a Jew," he said. "They don't operate by the same set of rules that the rest of us do."
Lynn Joslyn, a former member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, said the topic bubbled up in conversation at a recent dinner party at her home.
"People think there are going to be some riots," said the 85-year-old Democrat. "Is [Mr. Trump] putting this information out to the news subtlety that if he doesn't get elected, all this chaos will ensue? I wonder."
Clinton has put the word out: Trump supporters are violent, racist and unreasonable. They're going to revolt.
What better way to reignite that conversation about the assault weapons ban. And that's probably just the beginning.
